Farming in rural lands and transporting food is not a sustainable long-term solution. That’s why urban farms are critical to feeding our increasingly urbanized population in a changing climate. The benefits of urban farming are vast, from decreasing heat island intensity through increased vegetation cover to localizing food and enhancing food security.
