South Africa has now become the third country in Africa to legalize marijuana, following Zimbabwe and Lesotho. The new law allows people to use marijuana privately, effectively decriminalizing the personal consumption and possession of the herb. In 2013, Uruguay became the first country in the world to legalize weed.
