New legislation is on its way to address a devastating opioid crisis that has plagued the US for over 17 years. Last week the Senate managed to achieve impressive bipartisan agreement and pass the opioid bill. The legislation lifts restrictions on who can prescribe treatment medications to opioid addicts and allocates states more flexibility with funding aim to address the problem.
