Easter is just around the corner, and even though we can’t yet gather with all our loved ones, we are far more experienced when it comes to virtually celebrating memorable occasions compared to a year ago.

Here are a few ideas to keep your virtual Easter holiday fun and interactive.

Peeps house-making: A Peeps house is essentially the Easter equivalent of a gingerbread house. Send out Peeps-house care packages to your friends and family ahead of time and include whatever tasty components you’d like participants to make their house out of. This could include a box of graham crackers, two packages of Peeps, frosting, jellybeans, and more. Compare your creations on your Easter video chat or hold a real-time virtual competition!

Virtual Cake Baking Contest: Although we can’t all be together, we can still carve out some time this Easter to do fun activities together via video chat. With a little preparation ahead of time, you can send out an ingredient list and schedule a real-time baking contest with your loved ones.

Scavenger Hunt: Have each household create a list of Easter-themed items for your scavenger hunt, like a bag of carrots or little chocolate eggs. Items can have varying values and to add some excitement, set a time limit to retrieve the items.

If executing a virtual scavenger hunt feels like too much to take on, you can contact businesses like Majestic Circus that do all the planning and hosting for your virtual event.

Virtual brunch: There are many creative ways you can plan a virtual brunch for your friends and family. You can send your guests a curated box of ingredients to make a favorite traditional recipe or assign everyone a different family favorite meal to make.

Another fun idea (if your guests are all of age) is to have a virtual Easter happy hour and create an array of seasonal cocktails.

Basket making: Deliver Easter treat baskets to nearby family or neighbors to spread some holiday cheer in your local community. For kids, consider traditional crowd-pleasers like chocolate bunnies or egg-painting craft kits. For adults, feel free to get creative and personalize the baskets with scented candles, gourmet treats, or spring-themed home goods.

Easter Bingo: Email some Easter-themed bingo cards to your virtual guests and have them print them out before your video call. Assign someone the role of the caller and let bingo begin! Get creative with friends and family to come up with fun prizes to mail out to the winners.

Cookie decorating: Send out homemade sugar cookie kits (or buy them from your local bakery) and plan a time to meet online for a virtual cookie decorating contest. Cherish every unique cookie design even after they’ve been devoured by photographing your best designs.
