The Economist released its most recent assessment of food sustainability in 34 countries this week. The index ranks Ethiopia, the poorest country featured in the study, higher than the UK and the US. Glimpses into Ethiopia’s farming revolution could give other lower-income countries clues on how to strengthen their domestic food supplies. It also makes Ethiopia’s goal to become a middle-income country by 2025 not seem so outlandish after all.
