A primary example of this comes from a Dutch startup that has created an AI that can help emergency dispatchers diagnose cardiac arrest by understanding the words and sounds during calls. Once the AI recognizes cardiac arrest, it prompts the emergency professional with the right questions to get a more accurate diagnosis. The AI can also help out in a number of other ways, like reminding to ask whoever’s on the phone for the address of the incident and ensuring the ambulance en route is headed to the right place.
