It’s an unthinkable injury to sustain, but the loss of genitals sometimes happens in war. Fortunately for anyone who is unfortunate enough to sustain such an injury, there is hope after researchers successfully transplanted an entire penis and scrotum to a young serviceman who lost his genitals fighting in Afghanistan. It took 9 surgeons and two urological specialists, but after 14 hours, the transplant was a success.
