Following the recent UN report that warns that we have one last chance to prevent a climate disaster, the British government is seeking to increase its efforts to achieve full-on carbon neutrality. The country’s current target of reducing carbon emissions by 2050 stands at 80 percent, but experts claim that if new policies aren’t introduced, the UK may fall considerably short of this goal. To boost their climate change efforts, the government is formally seeking guidance from the Committee on Climate Change.
