You probably hear the term personal growth all the time, but what does it really mean? For us, personal growth is all about activities, practices, rituals, or observances performed in the name of enhancing your quality of life, allowing you to know yourself more deeply, and improving your awareness of the potential of your place in the world. What this also means is that you have to evaluate your current habits, and replace the negative ones with positive practices that will benefit your personal growth.

By including the following quartet of habits into your daily life, you will plant the seeds of growth in your life.

Nourish yourself

First habit: nourish yourself. Whether it’s massaging yourself, keeping a journal, socializing, or practicing mindfulness, do things that will allow you to feel nurtured and whole on a regular basis.

Enjoy the little things of the day

Second habit: savor the little things throughout the day. To savor is to enjoy something completely. It could be a cup of coffee, or simply complete silence. Whatever it is, attend to that moment of enjoyment completely.

Embrace creativity

Third habit: get creative. In all aspects of your life, from mind and body to emotions and spirit, there is room to get creative. Creating a new recipe, building a sandcastle, making up a dance, all of these are examples of things you can do to be creative throughout the day.

Get clean

Fourth and final habit: cleanse yourself. When both your inner world and your outer world feels clean, you will feel more room to grow.
