Today’s Solutions: February 09, 2026

The foggy weather of San Francisco has never stopped its local residents from enjoying the city’s many outdoor parks. But as more and more people move to the city by the bay, the municipality has decided to add a new 14-acre park to its landscape.

The “Tunnel Tops” park will cover two sections across the top of the Presidio Parkway highway tunnels and will feature a campfire circle, cliff walks, visitor center, and children’s education center called “The Outpost”.

Working with New York-based landscape architecture firm James Corner Field Operations, the city broke ground on the new park this week and plans to have it completed by 2021. The city hopes it will be a place to relax, play, learn, and take in breath-taking views of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco skyline.

If you’re planning a trip to San Francisco in 2021, be sure to check out the new park. Until then, visitors can enjoy the outdoor beauty of the city’s other fabulous outdoor areas, like Mission Dolores Park or the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
