Most of us get our toothpaste out of pesky toothpaste tubes every day, but that could become a thing of the past after a Canadian company created an alternative that takes the waste out of dental hygiene.

Change Toothpaste, which was founded in January of this year, has created dry toothpaste tabs that comes in a compostable paper bag. You just crush the tab with your teeth and brush with a wet toothbrush for the same clean, foamy sensation.

The company worked with dentists to meet texture, flavor, and hygiene standards of traditional toothpaste. The two founders began selling online and at farmers’ markets and now, after a successful $10,000 fundraising campaign, the team is ready to expand.

One bag comes with 65 tablets and costs CDN $9.95. The company also sells bamboo toothbrushes for a complete plastic-free brushing experience.

If you’re tired of old toothpaste tubes (which usually have 11 layers of plastic), keep an eye out for Change Toothpaste to maintain clean teeth and a clean planet.
