Today’s Solutions: June 21, 2026

From pumpkin spice lattes to frappuccinos, Starbucks is famous for its signature menu items. Next week, a fake meat meal will join the menu as the coffee giant unveils its Beyond Meat breakfast sandwich in stores across Canada.

Earlier this year, Starbucks announced its new corporate sustainability goals including a more extensive plant-based milk menu. Adding alternative meats to their repertoire is another step towards a more environmentally-friendly future.

Aside from being a greener option than traditional meats, plant-based meats have swept the market as popular brands like Impossible Foods and Beyond Burger have surged into fast food and haute cuisine restaurants. These plant-based options are available at most fast-food restaurants including McDonald’s, KFC, and Burger King. It was only a matter of time before Starbucks joined the trend.

The company has not announced when plant-based meat sandwiches will be available internationally, but with the growing demand for tasty and planet-friendly meat options, you will certainly see fake meat products in a Starbucks near you soon!
