Medical professionals are heroes of society even when things are going smoothly. We all saw just how much we need these literal lifesavers during the Pandemic, and many companies stepped up to show appreciation.

Crocs will be giving away pairs of shoes and scrubs to medical professionals in its “Free Pair for Healthcare” program for the third year in a row.

Giving back

Crocs is partnering with FIGS scrubs to give 10,000 free pairs of Crocs and 10,000 scrubs to nurses and other medical professionals. The giveaway will be on Friday, which is National Nurses Day at the end of National Nurses Week. This week also coincides with the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing, on the 12th.

“We are humbled to have seen such a positive response to Free Pair for Healthcare over the past two years and are thrilled to continue supporting and celebrating our healthcare heroes in partnership with FIGS,” Crocs CEO Andrew Rees said in a statement.

Crocs’ “Free Pair for Healthcare” program began in the Spring of 2020, at the beginning of the Pandemic, and since then has donated almost a million pairs of shoes to healthcare workers and nurses around the world.

During the Pandemic healthcare workers, nurses, and medical professionals were pushed beyond the limit with the number of COVID patients being admitted. Now, with the success of inoculation and a slowed spread of the virus, medical professionals aren’t as hard-pressed, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t still give back to them to show our appreciation.
