3D printers are revolutionizing the way we make goods, now clothes printers might revolutionize how we make garments. OpenKnit offers a device capable of printing (it’s really knitting) clothes. The machine hooks up to a computer where you can print preexisting patterns or make your own templates. Since it’s open source anyone can download the schematics for free—it will cost about $700 in parts to build your own clothes-making robot.
