Today’s Solutions: June 17, 2026

Chris Baily, recent business school graduate, spent the last year researching ways to be more productive. His approach isn’t scientific or randomized, but his suggestions are intuitive– for the most part. Follow these three suggestions below and immediately start doing more in less time.

1) Keep emails to 5 lines MAX– 5 lines is almost always enough space to get your point across. Lots of time is wasted when you try to be overly polite, or too descriptive. Get your point across, hit ‘send’ and move on with your next task.

2) Create a mindless list– Don’t sprinkle your day with rudimentary chores or tasks. Create a list of all the mindless things you need to get done, and then do them all at once.

3) Give yourself less time to do more important things– This one is counterintuitive, but if you think about it, it makes sense. Giving yourself lees time to do more will make you work faster and produce better results more quickly. If you have too much time to do something important you’ll sit on it and perfect it to oblivion.
