A diagnosis of paralysis almost always means you will never walk again. But that’s changing. Watch this short video. Two companies in the US have created a bionic suit that basically walks for the person who is wearing it. The suits are strong and the person wearing them only feels the weight of the computer and battery that is in a backpack the user wears, and weighs around 6 pounds. The suits come at a price and aren’t covered by standard health care plans. However the creators think that will change as insurance companies realize the cost of a suit is actually lower than living in a wheelchair, which spurs health problems like sitting sores and stress fractures.
