Near-death experience (NDE) used to be a topic for new age conversations. But that’s rapidly changing. In the past years, several books by mainstream doctors have taken NDE to the realm of science. The Intelligent Optimist has covered the issue at length for years. Now The Atlantic in a long and interesting article gives an overview of the latest research and insights. Scientific evidence may be very hard to present, but there’s a broad understanding that researching NDE leads to a better understanding of consciousness widely seen as one of the most challenging domains for humanity to grasp.
