Today’s Solutions: May 26, 2026

Agriculture is a driving factor of global greenhouse gas emissions. Livestock alone contributes 18% of global greenhouse gas emissions, according to the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization. The good news is that healthy soil is a carbon sink. The main technology required is affordable, readily available and hardly patentable: organic compost. The eco-farm researchers even showed that the yield didn’t suffer in the absence of synthetic fertilizers. Seems like a no brainer. In fact, the United Nations has been advocating this type of agriculture for a while. Good to see it vindicated yet once again.
