Today’s Solutions: June 16, 2026

This past month I received a lovely email from a woman named Monique Constant in Canada who’s an Odereader. She’d read one of my posts and wanted to thank me. Very nice when that happens.

But then … she went on …

“There is something I would like to share with you, I wrote this Recipe when I was taking a Creative Writing class during a tumultuous time in my life. Luckily for me the class was free, I gained so much valuable insight, and our teacher Ed G. was wonderfully encouraging. Well, here is the recipe, please do feel free to pass this on to anyone who is needing encouragement in the field of peace.

Recipe for Peace

** This will require more than one person to make. **

You will need the following:

  • 2 Lrge, long arms (short arms will do too in a pinch, and if there is only one arm, that is okay too)
  • 1 pair of lips for puckering up
  • 2 Ears (any size and shape will do)
  • 1 Tongue & mouth (lips may be substituted for the mouth)
  • 2 pairs of hands
  • 2 Eyes (if only one eye, that will do, if there are none, that’s okay too)

For the mix:

  • 1 big heart of kindness
  • 1 cup of Compassion
  • 1 cup of Humility
  • 1 cup of Curiosity
  • 1 cup of Creativity
  • 1 cup of Forgiveness
  • 1 cup of Wisdom
  • 1 cup of Beauty (any kind is okay)
  • Dash of Love

Take the large arms and wrap them around someone, throw in the kiss (usually on the head somewhere, or anywhere will do too), put in the ears for the listening and keep the mouth out till it is needed at the end, (in some cases it may not be needed). Use the tongue to speak your words softly and mindfully; the mouth (or lips) will be required here. Take the 2 pairs of hands and shake often, this gives a hint of mutuality and some shared connection, next the eyes for seeing who is in front of you and to observe daily.

Once the above is mixed, take your cups of kindness, compassion, humility, curiosity, forgiveness, wisdom, creativity, beauty, and toss gently. You may add the dash of love at any time this will create a shift from thinking to feeling. It’s also great to add at any time of the day and with any person you meet. The more dashes of love peppered on, the better the outcome.

Let be and voila!
