Winter is here—ok, it’s still fall but it’s getting cold, fast. If you’re prepared for your utilities bill to spike during winter months, there is an alternative: House cloud servers. Cloud&Heat is offering to provide free heat and hot water in exchange for you to house their server—servers put off on exorbitant amount of heat, which can be harnessed to heat a home and provide hot water. The only upfront cost is building a fire safe cabinet for the server—which is about the same as installing a heating system. And if you’re worried about summer months, fret not, there are ventilation ducts to take the heat outside when the weather starts warming up.
