The opportunity of renewable energy takes Africa by storm

 

In Lima, Peru, this weekend United Members for the first time reached a climate agreement that includes commitments from all countries. This consensus reflects the growing realization that global warming is a problem that reaches beyond the North-South divide. At the same time the business promises of clean renewable energy are also getting a global reach. Vesta Wind Systems, the largest wind turbine manufacturer in the world, has just received—from Kenya—the largest order for turbines the African Continent has ever made. Ethiopia and South Africa have also recently made large renewable energy deals, showing that the green energy market is rapidly growing worldwide.
