Obama proposes to protect Artic from drilling

Yesterday President Obama proposed legislation that would designate12.3 million acres of Alaskan forest as a wildlife refuge, the highest of protected status. The bill is already under attack from both Alaskan Republicans and the GOP controlled congress. The expansion of Alaska’s wildlife refuge would protect countless numbers of polar bear and caribou.
