Today’s Solutions: January 19, 2026

A common argument used by the oil and gas companies to perpetuate their exploitation of nature of that they are more profitable, and provide more jobs than green sources of energy. A new report has proven that idea wrong, showing that wind farming is actually more lucrative, and would provide more jobs if the same investments were made in off shore wind. According to the report by ocean advocacy group Oceana, proposed offshore drilling projects would create some 45,000 jobs, but if the same energy were sourced from offshore wind farms 91,000 jobs would be created. Hopefully we’ll start seeing more off shore wind turbines popping up along the coast and fewer oil rigs.
