It’s kind of an indescribable feeling you get once you finish a good work out, you just feel better in almost every aspect. Researchers have long suggested exercise to get rid of depression, but a recent study has found that exercise for women—especially those who continue on through midlife—can actually prevent depression from taking hold. The study looked at 10 years of data from over 2500 female participants between the ages of 42 and 52 and found those who exercise 150-minutes a week reported fewer symptoms of depression. While the study only looked at women, we’d venture to guess that similar benefits could also be found for men.
