This is not just a very cute picture. This is perhaps the most important innovation happening in education at the moment. Mindfulness and meditation are becoming more and more common in schools. In fact, there are more than 4,000 teachers qualified to teach mindfulness in the U.K alone, and that number is growing rapidly. That’s because teachers are finding that mindfulness is helping children self-regulate and stay calm, translating into improved grades while reducing aggression amongst children. In this increasingly distracting world, it’s fantastic to see mindfulness taking root in the classroom.
