The world isn’t slowing down when it comes to meat consumption, meaning emissions from the meat industry are only rising. Since people aren’t stopping their habits, scientists may have found a solution for cutting emissions in the form of seaweed. They have found a type of seaweed suitable for cow feed that could cut emissions from cow burps by up to 99 percent. The seaweed feed could put a major dent in the emissions from the agricultural sector, but first the scientists must figure out how to sustainably harvest enough of seaweed to feed millions of cows.
