Coal demand fell in 2015 for the second year in a row and coal consumption is expected to stay below peak levels in 2016 as well, according to a new from the International Energy Agency (IEA). The IEA also said that for all promises of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump to put coal miners back to work, the—downward—economic trends of coal are not expected to change.
