While Donald Trump has plans to dismantle many of America’s climate change policies, California is set to go the complete opposite direction. Democrats in the Golden State, which has the world’s sixth largest economy, recently won a supermajority in the State Senate, meaning it has more than two-thirds of the seats. Considering that democrats are major advocates for aggressive climate action policies, passing them in California will no longer be a big obstacle. California has ambitious climate plans in the works, and when they go into effect, the rest of the U.S., and the world will be taking note.
