A new study has found that the impact of price subsidies on healthy foods and increased taxes on unhealthy foods would result in 63,000 fewer deaths per year in the United States. In particular, the researchers found that a 10 percent price decrease to seven particular foods alone could prevent tens of thousands of deaths from diabetes.
