Clean water is a pressing need in many areas of the world and delivering services that can mitigate the issue is a big challenge. That’s why, in collaboration with Walmart International, P&G has set out a project that allows consumers to help bring clean drinking water to children, families, and communities who are in desperate need.

The campaign, called the P&G Children’s Safe Drinking Water Program, uses the simple premise, “1 purchase = 1 liter of clean water”, to enable shoppers to contribute to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #6, which aims to ensure clean water and sanitation for all. For every P&G product purchased in the participating stores during the campaign period, the multinational company will provide one liter of clean water to people around the world who live without access to this essential resource. The initiative sets an exemplary case for other giant corporations to follow and help bring environmental, social, and economic sustainability to the retail sector.
