Napa Valley wineries are teaming up with Winebid.com to give people great wine and an opportunity to support restaurant workers during the COVID-19 outbreak. With the help of the online platform, a group of wineries will host weekly auctions of fine wine for an even finer cause with profits going to the Restaurant Workers Community Foundation (RWCF).

The online auctions will begin at 7:15 P.T. every Sunday and end the following Sunday at 7 pm, right before the next one begins. The bottles are coming from over 35 wineries including top of the line producers such as Screaming Eagle and Ovid as well as other Napa Valley classics such as Caymus and Staglin. Private individual donations can also be made by contacting the organizers via email

The donations will go directly to the RWCF COVID-19 Relief Fund, which gives 50 percent of profits directly to restaurant employees. The remaining half is used to provide loans to restaurants.

The auction includes some truly exceptional bottles. Last week, Staglin Vineyards donated a 2016 Staglin Family Vineyard Cabernet, one of only 60 produced.

Tourism hot spots like the famous Napa Valley wine country depend on restaurant and service industry workers to feed the crowds of visitors that flock to the area. Using highly profitable wine donations is a great way for these wineries, and private collectors, to give back to members of their community struggling financially during the COVID-19 outbreak. This is also a great opportunity for consumers to get their hands on some great wine in support of a great cause.
