Today’s Solutions: December 18, 2025

After Confections, a small bakery in Lufkin, East Texas posted an image of a rainbow-colored cookie with a message in support of Pride Month, the shop, unfortunately, lost many followers and had several large clients cancel orders. In an inspirational move, people from around the world stepped up to support the shop with orders for their delicious baked goods.

After sharing their disappointment regarding the numerous hateful messages and canceled orders as a result of the post, Confections’ story gained the attention of 11,000 Facebook users which came together to help the bakery sell out the next weekend. An online photo showed a line stretched around the block to patronize the shop.

“We’ve sold out,” the bakery wrote, adding “[we are] just so humbled and grateful and moved by this outpouring of love.” Even after all the baked goods were gone, many customers stuck around to give cash donations which Confections says will be donated to a local animal shelter.
