Snow leopards are notoriously elusive species and with only 4,000 left in the wild, researchers sometimes go years without documenting a sighting. Fortunately, a wildlife camera in East Kazakhstan has managed to capture a family of snow leopards on camera, for the first time since 2017.

The video captured what researchers believe to be a two-year-old male as well as a female and a cub. Snow leopards live in the rugged mountains of Central Asia, but they are threatened by poachers and climate change. In the video, they dart around the camera and are only captured for a few brief moments, but you can check out the video here.
