Mental illnesses often remain in the shadow of national health plans. Yet, the British Prime Minister, David Cameron, is looking into changing that. He is pledging extra support for the treatment an prevention of such diseases. The plans include specialist care for new mothers who may suffer from post-birth depression—the so-called baby blues. Also anorectic teenagers will receive extra attention.  With these measures, Cameron is hoping to pass on the message that those suffering from mental illnesses are not alone and have nothing to feel shame or embarrassed about.
