Here’s a personal story of a woman who turned to creative outlets like writing, metaphorical thinking, and walking alone in nature. “We don’t have to be artists to be creative,” she concludes. “I searched, in my own uniquely creative fashion, for ways to make meaning from my suffering. It’s become a habit—a familiar way my brain helps me through life.”
