And the cost of building solar plants has declined by 25 percent in just five months. Now a similar development is driving the cost of offshore wind power downwards. An offshore deal in The Netherlands in July stunned the industry with a price of 7.25 euro cents per KWh. Only weeks later a Danish tender came out at 6 euro cents per KWh.
