Today’s Solutions: February 23, 2026

The refugees in Europe are no longer creating the headlines every day. But they are still coming. In the past week alone, more than 11,000 migrants have been rescued as they attempted the perilous journey across the Mediterranean Sea. The number says it all about the state of affairs in Northern Africa, where most of the migrants were from. Non-government organizations have teamed up with the Italian Coast Guard to save as many migrants as possible, but until clear solutions to the migration phenomenon are made at the international level, people will continue to lose their lives as they attempt to cross the sea.
