Today’s Solutions: April 20, 2026

The graph says it all: About 20 years ago, the United States and Canada began introducing genetic modifications in agriculture with the promise on higher yields and decreases in the pesticide use. Europe did not embrace the new technology. Now, we see that the yields in Europe have not fallen behind compared to the U.S. And, if you click on, you see more graphs showing that pesticide use in Europe dropped in the past two decades where it increased(!) in the U.S. The increase mostly comes from Monsanto’s Roundup with the questionable ingredient glyphosate. There’s only one conclusion: GMO works for business, not for the environment or for people.
