The fear of an Ebola epidemic with no cure is spreading even faster than the virus itself. But there’s promising news. Mapp Biopharmaceuticals Inc., a small biotech lab in southern California, has developed an experimental medicine for life-threatening virus made out of tobacco.  And it appears to be working. Two Americans infected with the Ebola virus were flown to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA, but before getting on the plane in Liberia were given a dose of Mapp’s ZMapp drug, until now only tested on infected animals. According to initial reports the two Americans are getting better.
