What if a young girl would like to wear a T-shirt with a dinosaur or a spaceship on it? She’s in bad luck because most likely she’ll need to shop at the boys section of the clothing store. A group of moms tired of stereotypical pink girls clothing with ruffles and frills started to raise awareness for a whole new type of girls clothes. They launched a small businesses together, broadening the clothing options for girls. The moms also banded together in reaction to some recent incidents in the news about stereotypical girls’ clothing. For example, these onesies for boys and girls were sold in a campus bookstore in New York, the girls’ onesie stating “I hate my thighs”, while the boys equivalent stated: “I’m super.” The group #ClothesWithoutLimits, as the moms call themselves, wants to empower both girls and boys.
