Schools, hospitals and prisons have much in common. A central authority drives the experience, taking away the autonomy that’s the key to health, healing and happiness. The modern school system is linked to the Industrial Revolution which required standard education for people to perform standard jobs. Such education doesn’t fit the current reality. Hence the number of parents homeschooling their children is rapidly growing. Digital nomads have flexible “jobs”. Their children have a flexible education. And new online platforms are facilitating the experience. Interesting fact: Homeschooled children score on average about 25 percent above regular school children on standardized tests.
