The British chief executive of the Royal Society for Public Health has a simple solution: add an icon on food packaging showing how much exercise you’ll need to do to burn off the calories in the favorite treat you have just consumed. Picture a blueberry muffin with the message that you need to walk 48 minutes (or run 25) to burn off the calories it contains.
