However, in response to an obesity crisis, life is changing in Argentina and the presidential palace has instituted meat-free Mondays. On that day, the palace will only serve vegan lunches to the 500-plus employees. The Argentinian initiative is part of a wider international trend of governments pushing for lowering meat consumption.
