In the new nature documentary series Blue Planet II, narrator Sir David Attenborough and his wonderful voice asks people around the world to start taking plastic pollution more seriously. So far it seems to be working. The BBC, the broadcasting company behind the series, has moved to ban all plastic cups, utensils, and containers by 2020. The Queen of England herself has also banned plastics from all royal estates, and many more people are foregoing plastic for the 40 days of Lent, spurred on by Attenborough and the #PlasticFreeLent hashtag. Maybe it’s time you check this documentary for yourself.
