Today’s Solutions: December 15, 2025

John Krasinski’s “Some Good News” (SGN) has taken the internet by storm with uplifting stories during the COVID-19 pandemic. This week, he was joined by baseball legend David Ortiz to donate a lifetime supply of free Red Sox tickets to the healthcare workers at Boston’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Both Krasinski and Ortiz both live in Boston and didn’t stop with the tickets. They also awarded medical workers a (highly sanitized) private tour of the famous Fenway Park complete with a virtual big screen greeting from Massachusetts Mayor Marty Walsh, Governor Charlie Baker, and the entire Red Sox team.

Each member of the medical staff will receive four tickets for life to Red Sox games and Krasinski asked each worker to sign a baseball for him to display in his office where he films his beloved SGN segment.

Volunteers around the world are rallying to support medical workers with supplies, meals, and love. This is another great example of community members coming together to support vital healthcare employees. Check out episode 3 of SGN to see the full video of Ortiz and the medical workers’ tour.
