Imagine a car that you could modify into whatever type of vehicle is best suited for the trip you’re about to take. A German company has manufactured exactly that by designing a modular electric vehicle that comes in various forms, be it a camper, a dump truck, a bus, and even a pickup truck.

Called eBussy, short for electric bus system, the vehicle was designed by Germany-based company Electric Brands with modularity and eco-friendliness at its core.

The 100 percent electric vehicle integrates solar panels to generate enough power for treks up to 200 km (124 miles) without a recharge, and also uses its brake system to add to the power supply too. With a full charge and power from the solar panels, the eBussy can roll up to 600 km (373 miles). Plus, the charge time is only a short three hours.

Its modular design allows it to interchange between 10 different body options that can turn it into a convertible, an offroad vehicle, a box body, station wagon, pickup, box van or camping bus in a few simple steps.

The flatbed truck option even has a dumping feature to easily offload cargo. In addition to the remarkable body design options, the interior offers seating options and space configurations to haul either more passengers or more cargo.

Drivers have the option to recharge using their home outlet, a conventional charging station or solar power alone. Owners can even swing by an exchange center to swap out drained batteries for fresh ones. Perhaps best of all, the eBussy is up to 98 percent recyclable, a huge advancement in the world of electric vehicles and green design.
