News about scientific studies often goes in one ear and out the other. But this is a study that is worth remembering. We all know that eating fruit is healthy, but a new study by Oxford University shows that eating just one or two pieces of fruit every day cuts the risk of a heart attack or stroke by up to 40 percent. The findings come from a seven-year follow-up study of nearly half a million people. In the study, consumption of fruit was recorded into five categories: never, monthly, one to three days per week, four to six days per week, and daily. The more often people ate fruit, the more their risks fell.
