Today’s Solutions: February 11, 2026

For more than 6000 years essential oils have been used for religious ceremonies, as perfumes, a main ingredient for cosmetics, and even a cure for burns and infections. Essential oils are made from concentrated liquids taken from roots, leaves, seeds, or plant blossoms. While you might not want to rub lavender into a fresh burn, you will be surprised to learn these uses for essential oils.

Kick the caffeine– Work a drop of Stay Alert or Purification over your hands, then hold your hands over you face and take 6 deep breaths. You’ll get a pleasant boost in energy.

Can’t sleep– Put a couple drops of Roman Chamomile and lavender on a cotton ball, then leave it next to the pillow that you sleep on. It will have you sleeping in no time.

No paint smell– Mix 10 ml to every gallon of paint you’re going to use before painting to get rid of that paint smell before it shows up.

Thicker hair– Put a couple drops of Rosemary on your hairbrush before you brush your hair to add some natural body.

Germ killer– Mix a bit of four thieves in a spray bottle with purified water. Spray the mixture on surfaces you want to rid of germs.

Hangover cure– Mix together Juniper Berry, Cedar wood, Grapefruit, Lavender, Rosemary and Lemon into an equal parts solution. Put 6–8 drops of the solution in a warm bath, get in and enjoy.

Clean surfaces– Use a few drops of Lemon to remove gum, glue, crayon, and adhesive residue from most surfaces.

Cure for car sickness– Rub a few drops of peppermint on your abdomen, or put a couple drops on a cotton ball and inhale gently.
