The Three Wishes Project was developed to bring peace to the final days of critically ill patients and to ease the grieving process. The project is focused on eliciting three wishes to best honor the dying person. A study shows that 97.5 percent of the wishes were implemented at a cost of maximum $200. The project creates meaning, memories and closure at death, and personalizes the dying process for patients and their families, and is highly valued by patients and family members, according to the study.
