Today’s Solutions: June 23, 2026

There’s a saying in the Netherlands that you can eat “from the wall”. This is because there is a fastfood chain where, after inserting some coins, you can get your snack right out of a box in the wall, 24/7. But “eating from the wall” could get a whole new impulse, a healthier one, with the idea to turn unused city walls into vertical farms. Bright Agrotech, a vertical farming company from Wyoming, designs farm systems that can attach to any building. These types of vertical “living walls” have been around for a while, but the surprising element to this one is that it actually grows food. The system uses hydroponics, growing plants without soil, to make the foods grow. Imagine walking out of your office building and assembling your lunch outside from the wall.
